Admission Orientation

When new parents enter Sloka, they are greeted with warmth and oriented at length about what makes Sloka different from other schools. They hear about Rudolf Steiner's philosophy, which is the basis of this education. Our method of teaching is described in detail. We explain the need for the child to complete six years of age before class one, when formal learning begins. Details about our campus, future plans and fee structure are given. Once this is completed, a meeting of the child with the respective teacher is scheduled. If the child is to join Class I or higher, an assessment is conducted. Reports from the child’s previous school are required for this assessment. Upon satisfactory completion of this, admission is offered to the child.

Our academic session is from June to April. Admissions for the new academic year start in December of the preceding year. Admissions are done on a first come first served basis and continue through the year – until we fill the seats in every class. Children enter the school around 2.5-3 years of age into our Playgroup/Nursery. Upon completion of age 6 (by July 31), the child goes into Grade I. The school management is the final authority on all admissions to the school.
