Governance
As a self-administered institution, our school is organized around the impulse which gave rise to the first Waldorf School. This means that the individuals working most closely with the children are responsible for the pedagogical decisions and policies of the school, without outside interference. To effectively achieve this goal, the faculty and staff, Board of Trustees and the Parent Council work together on behalf of the students; each group acknowledging and supporting the expertise of the other.
The college of teachers carries responsibility for determining the Pedagogical direction of the school. The Pedagogical section meets every week to read the works of Rudolf Steiner and discuss child-related issues and concerns
The Board of Trustees consists of equal representatives from Founders, Teachers and Parents. The Trust is responsible for the financial well being of the school. It establishes financial policies, oversees the development and implementation of the school’s budget, determines tuition rates, and develops long-range plans to support the continued health and growth of the institution.
